Since the Beijing 2008 Olympics, vendors have been selling live small animals (goldfish,turtles,salamanders,etc.) and placing them into small bags as a type of keychain for souvenirs. China has a wildlife law that protects any kind of wildlife from this cruelty but they fail to stop and protect the nonsense that is going on. Wildlife or not this is a type of abuse that is a cruel joke and is killing several of these animals.

It has come to the attention of the American people, that Dick Cheney, former vice president and war profiteer, is to be honored with a statue for his services.  This statue is to be erected at the Captitol Bldg.   When an overwhelming amount of voters feel that he is a war criminal and war profiteer and should be indicted for these crimes, a statue is hardly appropriate.

This man brutally robbed and murdered an innocent woman on February 16, 1988.  He stabbed her 12 times and she managed to crawl leaving a trail of blood to the bathroom to get away from him and he even tried to get in the bathroom to finish what he had started to ensure she was died.

He took our Mother, best friend, grandmother and great grandmother from us.  He has shown no remorse.

Since he has been incarserated he has not even bettered his education. 

We do not need any more murderers on our streets.

This Petition is created to help stem the proliferation of loud motorcycles roaring around our Town of Novato. If you believe, as I do, that the Novato Police Department has the duty to apply the Califorina Code regarding loud motorcycles (up to 84 decibels) as it is written is a priority to the people of Novato who believe that loud, speeding motorcycles are both creating Noise Pollution and endangering people on foot, on bicycles and in vehicles. Please sign below so that we can take back our streets from a few bad apples who beleive their right to have a loud motorcycle outweighs an entire neighborhoods well being.

Ashura is the tenth day of Muharram, the first Month of the Muslim calendar, and is significant for the brutal murder of Hussain Ibne Ali (Peace Be Upon Him), the dearest grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as well as 72 of his family members and friends by the political tyrant of the era, YazidibneMuawiya. This day of inexplicable grief occurred in Karbala, Iraq in 680 AD.

In accordance with Islamic traditions, it is strongly recommended for Muslims to avoid and abstain from worldly matters the eve and day of Ashura so as to commemorate the sacrifice Hussain (PBUH) made for not just Muslims, but for all of humanity. It is about remembering how Hussain (PBUH) stood up for the principles of justice and freedom for mind, body, and soul previously espoused by the likes of Abraham, Noah, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (PBUH on them all).

Hussain Stuart up against the tyrants of his times and talk to Manatee a lesson, that we should never bow down against the forces of evil even if it costs us our lives.

"Graceful death is better than the disgraceful life".

Given the timeless nature of his story, it is important that all of us reflect and realize the importance of his struggle. As a result, we urge that the day of Ashura be added to the list of Muslim holidays observed as an official public holiday.

Declaring Ashura as a public holiday could strengthen the ability of the US to project itself, as its founding fathers wanted, as a beacon of justice and freedom to the entire world.

We, the below signed, call on our United States Government and Department of Education to add Ashura to the list of religious holidays observed with a day off for all students attending public schools.

This bill is to support the regulation and or erradication of the ammunition makers in this country, so that these little instruments of death are not made in the future. Which, in turn will save countless number of lives. Especially in the Black and Hispanic communities where lives are not taken seriously, but just taken.
