Monsieur le Président, arrêtez de faire la guerre en Syrie.
L’Europe se préoccupe soudainement du sort des migrants et réfugiés qui tentent de rejoindre son sol. Pourtant leur afflux est moindre aujourd’hui qu’en 1992, lorsqu’elle avait à peine plus de la moitié des états et de la population actuels.
L’UNHCR nous dit que l’immense majorité des réfugiés de guerre restent dans leur pays, ou bien migrent dans les pays voisins, ou ils ont parfois de la famille, des amis, ou des gens qui parlent la même langue, en attendant de pouvoir retourner dans leur pays : Les 7 millions de réfugiés Palestiniens sont principalement en Palestine, au Liban, en Syrie, en Jordanie, en Israël ; Sur les 5 millions de réfugiés Afghans, un quart est resté dans le pays et les autres sont en Iran et au Pakistan ; la Libye qui accueillait 3 millions de travailleurs immigrés en 2011 est aujourd’hui un pays d’émigration, avec 1 million de réfugiés en Tunisie et en Egypte ; Sur les 10 millions de réfugiés Syriens, c’est-à-dire presque un citoyen sur deux, 7 millions sont restés dans leur pays et 3 millions sont en Turquie, au Liban, en Jordanie et en Irak ;
Face à ces chiffres, les 626 000 réfugiés qui souhaitent venir en Europe aujourd’hui, dont moins d’un quart sont Syriens, ne sont visiblement ni le problème le plus significatif, ni même le plus urgent.
Après plus de 4 ans d’une guerre qui a coûté plusieurs milliards d’Euros à la coalition que notre pays a rejoint, en argent, en armements et en logistique, en conseillers militaires, camps de formation et commandos, la dévastation est catastrophique : Outre les réfugiés, près de 300 000 morts, la moitié des habitations rasées, le patrimoine vendu à l’étranger et saccagé, les usines démontées et volées, les infrastructures détruites, des pertes économiques estimées à 14 000 milliards d’Euros, une génération d’enfants qui n’aura pas connu l’école, une génération d’étudiants qui n’aura pas étudié.
Depuis le début de la guerre, les gouvernements successifs de Syrie, et même d’Irak, protestent systématiquement contre toutes nos interventions militaires officielles et officieuses, et ils ont dénoncé plusieurs fois ce qu’ils affirment être notre soutien, logistique ou autre, aux terroristes de l’ISIL et autres groupes armés.
Ces gouvernements ne sont peut-être pas de votre goût, Monsieur le Président, mais maintenant il faut arrêter. Nous ne voulons pas voir mourir jusqu’au dernier Syrien.
Quels que soient les buts, déclarés ou non, de votre gouvernement et du précédent, il est trop tard pour tenter de nous les expliquer. Nous vous demandons de reconnaitre votre défaite. En aucun cas un changement de gouvernement ne justifie la destruction du pays ! Car alors, au nom de qui voulez-vous ce changement ?
Arrêtez maintenant cette guerre que vous n’avez même pas déclarée. Arrêtez tout commerce même indirect avec l’ISIL, arrêtez de fournir des renseignements, des équipements, de l’argent, arrêtez de former des combattants, arrêtez de bombarder, reprenez le financement du Lycée Français de Damas, reprenez les collaborations culturelles, scientifiques et archéologiques qui existaient en 2011, laissez nos institutions et nos citoyens renouer des liens avec les Syriens.
Les armées Syrienne et Irakienne font 20 fois plus de sorties aériennes que la coalition. La moitié des victimes Syriennes sont des militaires. Ils sont les seuls à se battre sur le terrain, avec un courage qui inspire le respect, et ils ont réussi jusqu’à maintenant à maintenir l’unité de leurs pays. Nous nous grandirions en reconnaissant qu’ils ont chèrement gagné le droit de défendre la population civile de leurs pays, dans toute sa diversité.
Tout ne dépend pas de la France, mais si notre pays fait un geste clair, le prestige de la coalition s’effondrera, les terroristes seront progressivement abandonnés à eux-mêmes, et privés de soutien logistique, mourront ou se rendront inéluctablement, et la paix pourra revenir.
Ayez ce courage, Monsieur le Président. L’histoire a souvent retenu le nom de ceux qui ont su arrêter une guerre, rarement de ceux qui en avait commencé une.
Et pour les réfugiés qui désireront malgré tout venir en France, nous souhaitons que le gouvernement interfère le moins possible avec la générosité des citoyens et des organisations de la société civile. Ces gestes de personne à personne poseront, espérons-le, quelques bases pour reconstruire un futur commun.

Je veux dire ici que le contenu mis en lien sur le septième commentaire, daté du 23.09.2015, cherche à obtenir des buts totalement opposés à ce que demande la pétition, comme c’est d’ailleurs précisé, de manière tout à fait explicite, mais trop brève, dans le dernier paragraphe.
Je ne comprends pas comment cette personne peut en même temps signer cette pétition et approuver un tel contenu, et j’ignore si le site permet techniquement de poster un commentaire sans signer. Mais les noms ne correspondent pas, donc je ne peux que considérer que l’auteur de ce commentaire n’a pas elle-même signé.
Cela montre qu’il était d’autant plus important que les autres commentateurs, très judicieusement clarifient et enrichissent la pétition et son contexte, par leurs commentaires avisés.

Une autre excellente nouvelle aujourd’hui: Un porte-avion Chinois accompagné d’un croiseur lance-missiles Chinois sont arrivés aujourd’hui le port de Tartous en Syrie, en démonstration de soutien au corps expéditionnaire Russe déjà déployé. Ceci le jour même ou le président Chinois Xi Jinping est reçu en grande pompe par le président Américain Obama, et deux jours avant la rencontre Obama-Poutine à New York, et quelques jours après les visites à Moscou des chefs d’état Turc et Israélien.
Les chancelleries occidentales sont entrées en ébullition, et malgré la grande discrétion des medias occidentaux, le changement de ton a été presque immédiat, de Mme Merkel à la chef de la diplomatie Australienne en passant par Laurent Fabius, l’ancien ministre de la défense US Chuck Hagel, le sénateur de la Virginie, colonel à la retraite Dick Black, etc, etc.
En effet, la conséquence immédiate de la très forte et soudaine présence militaire Russo-Chinoise est de rendre désormais impossible la poursuite de l’approvisionnement de l’ISIL et des autres groupes armés qui sévissent en Syrie et en Irak. Il est très probable que les communications électroniques peuvent maintenant être interceptées par les forces Russes et Chinoises sur place, donc non seulement l’approvisionnement en armes et en conseillers militaires, la vente du pétrole, mais même l’approvisionnement des groupes armés en renseignements et en stratégie militaire ne va pas non plus pouvoir se poursuivre. Soudainement privés à la fois de leur tête et de leur estomac, ces groupes n’auront d’autre choix que de se rendre s’ils veulent échapper a la mort.
La manière dont cette capitulation va être organisée, et qu’est-ce que va pouvoir être, à partir de maintenant, le destin de ces hommes, devrait être très logiquement le sujet central des discussions entre les présidents Obama, Xi Jinping et Poutine dans les prochains jours. Les gouvernements Syriens et Irakiens vont probablement être obligés de prendre la responsabilité d’une bonne partie de ces hommes, mais chaque pays ayant contribué, en hommes et en armes, au conflit, a l’obligation morale de prendre sa part de ce problème, autrement plus difficile que de donner asile à des familles ou à des victimes civiles.
Espérons que les refugiés Syriens et Irakiens pourront très bientôt commencer à rentrer chez eux en toute sécurité et à re-construire leurs pays.
En ce qui concerne notre pétition, même si dérisoire en nombre, elle n’est peut-être pas rendue complètement obsolète par ces heureux développements, en ce sens que plus les citoyens montrent qu’ils ont une position claire -et la lecture des commentaires dans les sites web des journaux montre que nous ne sommes pas une minorité et que les citoyens sont bien plus clairvoyants sur la Syrie que les politiques et les journalistes- plus cette clairvoyance, donc, des citoyens simplifie les efforts de communication et de prise de décision du pouvoir politique censé les représenter.
Espérons que l’honnêteté et la sagesse l’emportent et que la guerre pourra prendre fin sans tragédie, dans les semaines qui viennent.

Il est probable que les pays et services de renseignement qui ont soutenu l’ISIL, le front Al-Nosra et Al-Qaeda jusqu’à présent vont maintenant essayer d’empêcher les dirigeants et les troupes de ces groupes armés d’arriver vivants aux mains des Syriens, des Russes ou des Chinois, pour les empêcher de parler.
L’appel du Sénateur Américain Dick Black pour « raser » et pour « transformer en poussière » la ville de Raqqa en Syrie, sonne comme une étrange et horrible prémonition de ce que certains stratèges occidentaux ont peut-être en tête en ce moment même : prendre les Syriens, les Russes et les Chinois de court et lancer des bombardements massifs pour empêcher toute possibilité aux troupes de l’ISIL et d'Al Nosra de se rendre vivantes.

The former French Foreign Minister, Roland Dumas, said that as early as 2009, “Britain was preparing gunmen to invade Syria.” Seymour Hersh wrote in the New Yorker, that President Bush ordered clandestine operations to destabilize Syria in 2007—long before the so-called “Arab Spring.” The Saudi Arabians helped conceal the war plans by providing necessary funding, thus hiding them from public disclosure. Together, the U.S., France, Britain and the radical Gulf dictators mapped out plans to topple the free and popular government of Syria. They prepared the sinister Muslim Brotherhood to instigate violence--and impose regime change on the Syrian people.
In 2011, Syria had greater religious freedom and greater women’s rights than any other Arab nation. President Assad kept peace with all nations. He valued religious freedom and respected every faith. In the midst of the war, in 2013, Christians erected one of the world’s greatest statues of Jesus Christ—a towering statue atop a mountain that is visible from Israel, Syria and Lebanon. Our Arab allies, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, would have beheaded anyone who tried to do that in their countries. The Saudis are determined to force violent Sharia Law on Syria. They want Syria purged of Christians and other minorities. Toppling the elected government of Damascus would end religious freedom and extinguish women’s rights in Syria forever.
In 2011, the U.S. Department of State and CIA launched its long-standing plan to topple secular governments in the Mideast. The Department of State launched plans for Whabbists to overthrow Mideast secularists and impose brutal Sharia Law in Syria. NATO Commander Westley Clark disclosed that U.S. plans to overthrow seven countries were revealed to him in 2001. Not one of the targeted nations was involved in the 9-11 attacks on the Pentagon or the Twin Towers. In 2011, ten years after General Clark discovered the plans for wars of aggression, intelligence operatives set in motion their deadly plans for Syria.
In Hama, Syria, the homes of all Christian residents were marked with the “Nazarene” symbol. Upon order, Muslim Brotherhood thugs swarmed from radical mosques and attacked them. In just three days, 70,000 Christians fled to Damascus, seeking President Assad’s protection. The strategy employed by covert operatives and the Brotherhood was identical to that used by Nazis, who had marked Jewish properties with the Star of David before rampaging against the Jews on Kristallnacht in 1938.
The U.S. and French Ambassadors violated diplomatic protocol by improperly circumventing Syrian government blockades. They traveled together to Hama and met with violent rioters infested by the Muslim Brotherhood, promising them full American support. In this way, the Ambassadors turned bloody demonstrations into a revolution.
In Daara, covert intelligence operatives employed snipers in 2011 to assassinate demonstrators. Then, they blamed the killings on the Syrian government. It was a classic intelligence ploy. Although there were some legitimate demonstrations, there was never a rebellion of “moderates” in Syria. From the outset, the brutality was organized and led by al Qaeda in Syria [al Nusra] and by the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood.
Earlier that year, the CIA, British MI-6, and French DGSE ousted Libya’s Col. Kaddafi and had him brutally murdered. They overthrew Kaddafi in order to seize Libyan arms for shipment through Turkey. Turks then sent captured Libyan arms across the border into Syria to overthrow its government. NATO refused to allow Colonel Kaddafi to abdicate, lest he disclose their despicable scheme. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was giddy with bloodthirsty excitement at Kaddafi’s murder. She breathlessly exclaimed, “We came; we saw; he died!” Their plans had ignited the flames of war across the Mideast, leading to the deaths of a quarter million people.
Throughout the war, incessant attacks have been launched against Syria from Turkish soil. Arms and foreign jihadists have been massively funneled into Syria through Turkish channels. Al Qaeda and ISIS are supplied and financed by Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait. Western media imposed a total blackout on a massive five-pronged cross-border invasion of Syria from Turkey on March 21, 2014. Christians in Latakia Province were targeted, and the breakthrough relied on 600 U.S.-supplied TOW anti-tank missiles sent to al Qaeda-linked forces for that specific purpose. Those missiles helped al Qaeda penetrate Christian and Syrian lines and to seize the lovely Christian town of Kassab. Thirteen elderly Christians were beheaded there, Christian churches were desecrated, and ancient headstones in Christian cemeteries were systematically smashed. Turkey has a centuries-long history of vile anti-Christian genocide; it is the principal conduit for arms and jihadists reaching al Qaeda and ISIS in Syria today.
Turkish agents launched the 2013 Sarin Gas Attack in Ghouta. On June 6, 2013, it was widely reported that Turkish border agents had arrested al Qaeda soldiers crossing from Turkey into Syria carrying 2.2 kg of Sarin poison gas. Just weeks later, on August 21, 2013, Turkish intelligence agents and al Qaeda used Sarin gas to murder 1300 Syrian civilians in Damascus. In a scripted propaganda ploy, the poison gas attack was immediately blamed on President Assad. British and American governments tried to use the Sarin gas attack as a pretext to launch direct attacks on Syria. But those attempts failed when the British Parliament dealt Prime Minister Cameron a stunning blow by voting against intervention. The Obama Administration’s drive toward war fizzled similarly in Congress shortly afterward. Six U.S. guided missile frigates that had been sent to attack were then withdrawn from Syrian waters.
Claims that President Assad ordered the poison gas attacks were thoroughly debunked. Details of Turkey’s despicable poison-gas war crime were revealed by Pulitzer Prize winning author, Seymour Hersh in his report, “The Red Line and the Rat Line,” and by respected writer Yossef Bodansky, in his authoritative article entitled, “Did the White House Help Plan the Syrian Chemical Attack?” Today, state-controlled media repeatedly blame the chemical attack on President Assad, although no credible evidence supports their claim.
Terrorists are the criminals--not the Syrians. Much is made of alleged mistreatment of rebels in Syrian prisons. By contrast, the rebels have no prisons. They murder their captives--beheading, crucifying, stoning, burning or drowning them in steel cages. Rebels post hundreds of videos, depicting mass executions of prisoners and battlefield cannibalism. Many of their victims are women, children, priests and elderly noncombatants. International Law is clear; terrorists who commit such crimes are not entitled to protections under the Geneva Conventions. When terrorists attack civilian targets withsuicide-bombs, ravage Syria’s wives and behead their sons, they can hardly expect gentle treatment in response.
Western nations promote terrorism. Sadly, the French, British and American governments have trained, armed and organized jihadist terrorists from 60 foreign nations to invade and destabilize Syria. They are willing to use any means, however hideous to topple Syria. Jihadist training takes place at camps in Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. The U.S. actually pays the salaries of terrorist mercenaries, who frequently graduate from CIA camps to join al Qaeda and ISIS, where they conduct mass executions, beheadings, and crucifixions. Those western-trained terrorists enslave Christian and Yazidi women; they rape them and their children. This is a filthy war—a despicable crime against Syria in every sense.
The U.S. led Coalition against ISIS is a complete sham. We pretend to bomb ISIS but 75% of our planes return without engaging the enemy. In every war we’ve fought before, we attacked the enemy’s capital cities. It speaks volumes that—before the Russians’ arrival--the ISIS capital of Raqqa was never targeted for a serious onslaught. Rules of engagement tie the hands of American flyers in ways that benefit ISIS. When Turkey joined the “anti-ISIS Coalition,” it launched 300 air strikes against our valiant Kurdish allies—but only three against ISIS. Turkey is closely allied with ISIS and al Qaeda. They will never deliberately harm them.
Russia’s unexpected move into Syria was a major embarrassment to the U.S.-led Coalition. The world understands that Russia means business. It is awkward for NATO and the Gulf dictators to claim they oppose ISIS, while expressing irritation that Russia has launched a genuine challenge to the terrorists. ISIS and al Qaeda know that the Russians mean business. They will not engage in a phony war like the Coalition has. Much of the world applauds the Russians for their serious approach to dealing with terrorism. They will not play the duplicitous games of NATO and the Gulf monarchies.
My view is this:
1. No nation has any right to remove the popularly-elected Syrian government;
2. No nation can lawfully install a Syrian puppet regime of its own choosing;
3. Allied military intervention against neutral, non-belligerent Syria is criminal in nature;
4. No nation can lawfully overfly sovereign Syrian airspace or declare “no fly zones” in Syria without its permission;
5. The terrible slaughter in Syria is entirely attributable to U.S., British, French, Saudi, Qatari and Turkish covert military intervention—and their failed attempt at regime change;
6. Turkey was principally responsible for the Sarin gas war crime that killed 1300 civilians in the Ghouta suburb of Damascus;
7. The foregoing actions were ruthless, bloodthirsty, and morally abhorrent.

Just weeks later, on August 21, 2013, Turkish intelligence agents and al Qaeda used Sarin gas to murder 1300 Syrian civilians in Damascus. In a scripted propaganda ploy, the poison gas attack was immediately blamed on President Assad. British and American governments tried to use the Sarin gas attack as a pretext to launch direct attacks on Syria. But those attempts failed when the British Parliament dealt Prime Minister Cameron a stunning blow by voting against intervention. The Obama Administration’s drive toward war fizzled similarly in Congress shortly afterward. Six U.S. guided missile frigates that had been sent to attack were then withdrawn from Syrian waters.
Claims that President Assad ordered the poison gas attacks were thoroughly debunked. Details of Turkey’s despicable poison-gas war crime were revealed by Pulitzer Prize winning author, Seymour Hersh in his report, “The Red Line and the Rat Line,” and by respected writer Yossef Bodansky, in his authoritative article entitled, “Did the White House Help Plan the Syrian Chemical Attack?” Today, state-controlled media repeatedly blame the chemical attack on President Assad, although no credible evidence supports their claim.
Terrorists are the criminals--not the Syrians. Much is made of alleged mistreatment of rebels in Syrian prisons. By contrast, the rebels have no prisons. They murder their captives--beheading, crucifying, stoning, burning or drowning them in steel cages. Rebels post hundreds of videos, depicting mass executions of prisoners and battlefield cannibalism. Many of their victims are women, children, priests and elderly noncombatants. International Law is clear; terrorists who commit such crimes are not entitled to protections under the Geneva Conventions. When terrorists attack civilian targets withsuicide-bombs, ravage Syria’s wives and behead their sons, they can hardly expect gentle treatment in response.
Western nations promote terrorism. Sadly, the French, British and American governments have trained, armed and organized jihadist terrorists from 60 foreign nations to invade and destabilize Syria. They are willing to use any means, however hideous to topple Syria. Jihadist training takes place at camps in Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. The U.S. actually pays the salaries of terrorist mercenaries, who frequently graduate from CIA camps to join al Qaeda and ISIS, where they conduct mass executions, beheadings, and crucifixions. Those western-trained terrorists enslave Christian and Yazidi women; they rape them and their children. This is a filthy war—a despicable crime against Syria in every sense.
The U.S. led Coalition against ISIS is a complete sham. We pretend to bomb ISIS but 75% of our planes return without engaging the enemy. In every war we’ve fought before, we attacked the enemy’s capital cities. It speaks volumes that—before the Russians’ arrival--the ISIS capital of Raqqa was never targeted for a serious onslaught. Rules of engagement tie the hands of American flyers in ways that benefit ISIS. When Turkey joined the “anti-ISIS Coalition,” it launched 300 air strikes against our valiant Kurdish allies—but only three against ISIS. Turkey is closely allied with ISIS and al Qaeda. They will never deliberately harm them.
Russia’s unexpected move into Syria was a major embarrassment to the U.S.-led Coalition. The world understands that Russia means business. It is awkward for NATO and the Gulf dictators to claim they oppose ISIS, while expressing irritation that Russia has launched a genuine challenge to the terrorists. ISIS and al Qaeda know that the Russians mean business. They will not engage in a phony war like the Coalition has. Much of the world applauds the Russians for their serious approach to dealing with terrorism. They will not play the duplicitous games of NATO and the Gulf monarchies.
My view is this:
1. No nation has any right to remove the popularly-elected Syrian government;
2. No nation can lawfully install a Syrian puppet regime of its own choosing;
3. Allied military intervention against neutral, non-belligerent Syria is criminal in nature;
4. No nation can lawfully overfly sovereign Syrian airspace or declare “no fly zones” in Syria without its permission;
5. The terrible slaughter in Syria is entirely attributable to U.S., British, French, Saudi, Qatari and Turkish covert military intervention—and their failed attempt at regime change;
6. Turkey was principally responsible for the Sarin gas war crime that killed 1300 civilians in the Ghouta suburb of Damascus;
7. The foregoing actions were ruthless, bloodthirsty, and morally abhorrent.

Une bonne nouvelle aujourd’hui: Le président Russe Vladimir Poutine a déclaré que le président Français François Hollande lui aurait proposé « une idée intéressante » lors de leur réunion vendredi dernier, 2 octobre à Paris.
Cette idée serait, selon les mots de Poutine, de « tenter d’unir les efforts de l’armée d’Assad et la soi-disant armée syrienne libre », ajoutant que la Russie ne sait pas ou se trouve cette armée exactement ni qui la dirige, mais que « si l’on suppose qu’il s’agit de la branche armée de la soi-disant partie saine de l’opposition, alors unir leurs forces contre l’ennemi commun – ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra et autres organisations terroristes – pourrait créer une bonne base pour une solution politique en Syrie ».
Il y a différents aspects dans cette déclaration. Premièrement, elle a certainement été faite avec l’approbation du président Hollande. Mais, elle intervient 5 jours après la réunion ou l’idée aurait été soumise par Hollande, et ces 5 jours ont vu l’attaque massive par l’armée Syrienne avec appui aérien Russe, avec pour la première fois en 4 ans une série de défaites et de désertions massives, de plusieurs milliers d’hommes, dans les rangs terroristes.
Qui a décidé d’attendre ces 5 jours, est-ce Hollande, est-ce Poutine, peu importe, mais ce qui est sur c’est que les deux pays ont ainsi signifié publiquement leur désir de travailler ensemble à rétablir la paix.
On peut imaginer qu’il n’est pas facile pour le président Hollande de changer de position si soudainement, et il est dommage que notre pétition n’ait pas eu plus de signatures pour l’aider un peu, mais il faut au moins lui reconnaitre qu’il est déjà très en avance sur la totalité des media Français, qui continuent de ressasser la ritournelle, inchangée depuis 5 ans, du « soutien militaire » aux « rebelles modérés » comme unique solution au terrorisme en Syrie. La seule exception étant le Réseau Voltaire, qui sauve l’honneur, mais cet unique media de langue française n’est pas en France… mais en Syrie ! (La seule évolution un tout petit peu positive des media français est peut-être celle-là : Ils ont commencé, depuis une semaine, à omettre l’adjectif « civile » et osent maintenant écrire qu’il s’agit d’une « guerre » tout court qui sévit en Syrie).
Nous sommes donc dans la situation remarquable, même si rassurante, ou le Président de la République est beaucoup plus raisonnable dans ses réunions avec d’autres chefs d’Etat, comme Poutine, que dans ses déclarations publiques, au point extrême de donner l’autorisation à un chef d’Etat étranger de rendre publique une position qu’apparemment il n’est pas en position de faire lui-même en France.
Cette situation étrange, paradoxale, en dit long sur la terrible médiocrité de notre démocratie et de nos media, et sur notre immense responsabilité de citoyens d’un pays démocratique mais qui ne se servent pas de cette possibilité de démocratie qui leur est offerte, héritage précieux du combat des héros de notre histoire, que nous laissons dépérir par manque d’intérêt.
